PRESIDENTS MESSAGE - JUNE

We have had a successful start to our tournament season, with two well run and two well attended tournaments and even one hole in one.  (I will get to that later.)  But now we must concentrate on our attendance at our weekly golf at Pheasant Run and at Sunset Lakes.  I know the first few weeks on Friday the weather has not been that cooperative, but last Friday night the weather was perfect and we only had about 20 members show up to golf.  This is only about 10 percent of our membership.  Hopefully, in the coming weeks that percentage will increase.  The Board listened to your comments and switched the league night back to Friday and back to Sunset Lakes in hope of increasing our weekly league attendance.  Come on out and join us on Friday night at Sunset Lakes or on Tuesday night at Pheasant Run.  Make new friends or get reacquainted with old friends.  

Who knows you might even be a few dollars richer like Gary Ruhling.  Gary got a hole in one at the tournament we had at the Landings at Spirit.  With that hole in one Gary got a check for $500 from the club. Who says membership doesn't have its privileges.  Gary was gracious enough to buy everyone in attendance a drink at the bar.  The $500 incentive is off for the remainder of the year but the first "hole in one" at Sunset Lakes during league night gets $100.  Who couldn't use an extra "c note" in your wallet or purse. I would also like to thank Elli O'Hallaron and Mike Tietjens and their crew for putting on another successful ForeSingles Tournament.  The weather was perfect and the course was in great shape and the food was excellent.
